I know, I know. I’ve been hella MIA this year. But all for good reason. Aside from graduating in 3 weeks, I came to the conclusion I need to be more strategic with this blogging ish. Because it’s cool to do what you love, but even better to do it with goals and a [written] plan.
On the first note, I decided to go to school full-time, instead of the part-time I did last semester so I can graduate this Spring. It started off cool, but as everybody that’s been in college knows, things start going downhill after mid-terms. When I say I’m hanging on by a thread, I mean it. I thought I checked out of school my 2nd semester (2015), but this one is on a whole other level of DGAF-ness. Thank God I’m 3 feet away from the finish line. 🙌🏽
On the 2nd note, I’ve been spending my free time rebranding, strategizing and doing dope sh*t behind the scenes. So I can hit the ground running this summer. It’ll be the first time in 15 years (!) when I don’t have school on my mind on some level… You see, I started W.Coast.K right around the time I started going back to school. Which is why I haven’t been able to go out to these events, do these interviews and overall grow it to its full potential. With reports, presentations and readings always due. And spending my breaks recuperating and recharging my batteries, you can see why it’s been a challenge to go as hard as I want. Which is frustrating AF.
I’m still proud of myself for not taking another “leave of absence” and going all the way through with it this time though. Because not only will I be qualified for better jobs to fund my dreams, but I will show people that it is possible for a young mom to do the damn thing. And better than most with no kids, I might add. (Ha).
So yeah, after May 22nd, W.Coast.K is going to come back hard AF. I’m not going to say what’s in the works. But, those of you that have been following along since back in the day will notice the difference. And those that have been sleep will wake TF up!
