W.Coast.K Update: Spring ’16 Edition
Well, it’s that time again to check in with you guys again for the Spring ’16 quarter. It feels like I haven’t done one of these in forever. But, it feels good to write these updates every quarter, as they hold me more accountable to my actions…
School’s still kicking my a**. But good news, I only have 7 more classes to go until I’m up out of there! I’m still debating on whether or not I want to legit get a job once I graduate though. Because on one hand I know it will take away from W.Coast.K. But on the other hand, I need to keep my pockets padded. Grad school is definitely out of the question, seeing just the thought of it puts me into a coma. I am just so done with school at this point in my life, especially if I’m going to walk about of it a couple Gs in debt. Ya feel me?
On another note, I’m working on moving W.Coast.K in a new, improved direction. That means featuring more mainstream artists, live events, interviews and opinion pieces. As I’ve been doing my research, I’ve come to find that I’m doing you guys a disservice by only featuring the music I like. So, in the quest for continual improvement, we’ll be bringing you more good music, not just good music I like. Because we all have different tastes as the end of the day. And I figure, as we expand W.Coast.K’s coverage and reach, it’ll cause our page views to rise, which will be even more beneficial for the underground and independent artists we feature.
All I know is I’m trying to win over here and what I’ve been doing hasn’t got me where I need to be. I know patience is a virtue. But, also trying the same thing over and over again is borderline insanity. So, here’s to new beginnings. An oh yeah, that W.Coast.K mixtape dropping soon!
