Twitter’s For Talking Trash
These days you can use Twitter to complain and trash talk or to build relationships and jump in front of a plethora of opportunities. As a matter of fact, I found my last 2 jobs through social media. So, I wouldn’t say it’s all that bad… depending on who you follow. Ever since I joined the Twitterverse back in 2009, I’ve used it to connect with like-minded people and document my thought process (which has been so crazy over the years).
Way back in the day, before all the bandwagoners, with their wagons full of sh*t came along, Twitter used to be be fun. And it’s still fun now, depending on who you follow. But, for the most part, it’s full of keyboard gangstas shuckin,’ jivin’ and talking sh*t about people they’ve never met for a like and retweet. Yeah, it might be funny for 5 seconds, but in reality nobody trusts or wants to mess with their messy ass at the end of the day.
As a matter of fact, I completely checked out of the Twitterverse about 3 years ago due to it’s negative vibes and n*gga’s eternal shuck ‘n jive. Only to find out recently that it was just the people I had been following (thank God for Twitter lists). It’s crazy how you can think somebody you look up to is cool as f*ck, only to realize that they aren’t about sh*t and have a messed up thought process to boot. I’m all for internet connections though, as they let minds connect, regardless of a person’s current situation. Whether it be looks, money or social status. Because at the end of the day, we’re all just souls in a shell of a body, right?
I guess it’s easier not to hold yourself accountable when you’re talking sh*t behind a computer screen in butt-f*ck Idaho. And you especially know you’re in for some serious sh*t talking if they don’t even have an avi of themselves or worse yet, the Twitter egg. It’s just crazy how attention starved people are nowadays. I know there’s a difference between talking sh*t because you got it like that and talking sh*t for attention. I’m not even going to lie, I do get on there and talk sh*t on the occasional. But, that’s only to let everyone that doubted me know that they made the wrong move. So yes, I understand that aspect of it. But, to talk sh*t when you’re life is sh*t is a whole other story in itself…
