One of the most underrated and realest in the game, KeyXO picks up where she left of with Red Tape Season Vol. 1 with the equally fire, Red Tape Season II. The 14 track tape features her lucid, boss like flow over carefully chosen and sequenced beats that pull you in and move the story along. Over the course of Red Tape Season II, Key gets into her frustration with the current state of the hip hop industry, f*ck niggas and rappers already biting her flow.
From the Tupac references on “Weed Roller” to straight ethering popular tracks like “Truffle Butter” and “Back Up,” with charisma and class, KeyXO is definitely one you want to keep your eye on. As a matter of fact, she’s one of the few artists that I f*cks with heavy while riding down the 10 West and has earned our first Saturday Spotlight feature. Check out Red Tape Season II HERE to see why, along with one of my favorite tracks from the project below.
