Levina Lye dropped her latest project, Pieces Of Me a few days ago and I’m glad. The New York native wrote, arranged and executively produced the entire project, along with composition from Afrokeys and Danny McBride Jr. Pieces Of Me is versatile and “random as hell” as Levina promised in her last interview. The sound is raw, yet polished and the songwriting brings something different to the table.
As someone who’s been in love before, I can relate to songs like Misery and Venom. Heartbreak is something that takes months and even years to get over if you were in too deep. It’s definitely something that you don’t want to experience again, which is why so many people have walls built around them the older they get. If you’ve been there before or are currently going through, take Pieces Of Me as your prescription.
