Cleveland native, Charles Jawanzaa Worth aka King Chip teamed up with Blended Babies (Rich Gains and JP Keller) for his latest track, Lazy & Lucrative. Formerly known as Chip tha Rippa, Worth explained his name change by citing that his middle name, Jawanzaa (Swahili) means “great leader and great warrior” therefore he is King. King Chip made his come up via hip hop blogs and features, most notably with longtime friend Kid Cudi. He’s know for his humorous flow seasoned with a side of real.
As somebody that’s worked at home for many years, I feel Lazy & Lucrative the most out of all the new tracks that dropped last week. I thank God that I had the opportunity to work from home for so long. Awhile ago somebody told me that I was blessed to be working from home and that a lot of people would kill to be in my situation. I just shrugged it off at the time because I didn’t know anything other than to work for myself. But now that I have a “real” job I know what they were talking about.
When you own your own business, you get used to being on your own schedule and doing what you want, when you want. So, when you go into a “real” job with all it’s rules and regulations you feel like you’re trapped in prison for 8 hours/day. And let’s not even get into office politics, the commute and the drama that somehow seeps into your off days.
I honestly don’t know anybody that 100% likes their job. Sure you can get paid and have somewhat of a sense of job security, but you’re essentially trading your life (time) for money to build somebody’s dream. And who really wants that.
