The older I get, the more I see things for what they are. And the more and more life appears to be one big, extended high school campus. Only this time around with fancy clothes and liquor. You have your cliques, the in crowd, the hoes, and the misfits and weirdos. You also have your overachievers, underachievers and the one’s that don’t give a fuck either way.
Now instead of the popular people being the cheerleaders and football players, they are the models and rappers. The nerds are still nerds, but just with a whole lot of money. And yes, people are still checking to see what you’re wearing!
Although time and space doesn’t give everybody the opportunity to be all up in your business like in high school, your business still somehow finds a way into somebody’s mouth. And that somebody’s mouth is still doing worse than you.
I must’ve been under the wrong impression when I thought that the real world would be so much different than high school. But it’s basically the same shit, different toilet. And a lot of people haven’t grown up or changed at all. Luckily for myself, I learned how to navigate through that landscape a long time ago.
