Summer’s here and depending on how you put in work during the winter, your pockets are either happy or hurting right about now. Don’t worry though. Because there are millions of ways to get money online these days. Why online you say? Because manual labor sucks and we all deserve better. So, below are 3 of my favorite hustles for the summer. With physical publishing going the way of the typewriter and cable TV, digital publishing is a no brainer. And you don’t even have to be a good writer to make some serious dough. You can hire a freelancer to turn your ideas into a full fledged product or block out time each day to chip away at your creation. I’d suggest writing about something you’re passionate and knowledgable about. That way the words will flow from your brain to your keyboard with ease. Plus, you’ll be done in no time. If this sounds like something you want to do, check out this in-depth post from none other than Mr. 4-Hour Workweek himself, Tim Ferriss HERE
If you’re like me and into passive, residual income, affiliate marketing just might be for you. Essentially, you’re promoting other people’s products online for a commission. Whether you chose to do that through social media or by building a niche/review website around the product(s) is up to you. Today, many companies have their own affiliate program. Just go to the bottom of your favorite brand’s website, scroll to the bottom and check out their “Affiliates” section. Clickbank, Amazon and Commission Junction also have awesome affiliate programs if you want a wide variety of products to promote. Sure, it takes a lot of work up front but you’ll be getting checks every 2-4 weeks like clockwork if you do it right. Trust me.

This one is perfect for people with specialized skills and a little extra time on their hands. Know how to design websites? Great. Write like nobody’s business? Perfect. Or are you handy behind the camera? Awesome. Because these are all great skills that are in demand. You can even hire out your spare time by becoming a virtual assistant or copy editor. Check out Elance, Odesk or Fiverr when you’re ready to take that leap.
